This exclusive safari lodge offers total privacy, and total seclusion. Given the spa and spectacular swimming pool, it can serve equally well as an adventurers’ paradise, or a relaxing retreat to start or finish your Kenya adventures. It’s especially famous for its beautiful views, aided by Mount Kenya looming in the distance.

Its team, together with local communities, has proudly created, conserved and protected a conservancy of over 40,000 acres – three times the size of Manhattan – that guests have wholly to themselves. A strict maximum of 14 adults (plus six children) are accommodated across four villas to maintain the sense of exclusivity, and deliberate doses of authentic Maasai and Samburu culture infuse each interior.

Wider Laikipia offers a truly exceptional experience and is easily combined with the iconic Masai Mara to offer two very contrasting and different experiences.

  • The private conservation area is home to the endangered Grevy’s and Burchell’s zebra, greater kudu, leopard, cheetah, striped and spotted hyena and klipspringer among others
  • Elephant numbers, in particular, have really grown in recent years, with several thousand sightings recorded some months. There are also six packs of endangered wild dog that traverse areas around the lodge, with 10-20 sightings during some months.
  • Tourism has greatly impacted and improved the lives of the local community with over USD $5 million being raised and invested in building schools, hospitals and water-sanitation projects
