Mara Nyika Camp – whose name aptly means “large plains”- is an intimate tented camp straddling a small valley stream on the western side of 50,000-acre Naboisho Conservancy, which borders the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Designed to sit unobtrusively below a canopy of umbrella-thorn trees, its light-coloured canvas suites offer unforgettable views out over the plains. Walkways from the guest suites to the main area evoke the feeling of a treehouse, while the camp’s ethic and inspiration are one of exploration and adventure. Privacy is the key to Mara Nyika Camp. As they say, privacy is the key here – privacy to live, think, explore, be romantic and be pampered – amid one of the most spectacular backdrops that Africa can provide.

Mara Nyika’s guests can exclusively explore the Greater Mara region’s second-largest conservancy. Named using the Maasai word for “coming together”, Naboisho Conservancy represents 500 local landowners who united to establish it. The conservancy model strives to conserve natural and cultural heritage, tourism, and livelihoods for local communities. Each guest’s stay supports over 500 families and helps to ensure the conservation of this vital corner of the Maasai Mara ecosystem.
