This wilderness camp offers a huge range of activities, providing an adventurous experience for those wishing to do more than just look at Africa through a window. Sharing one of northern Kenya’s most beautiful corners with you, they welcome visitors of all ages.

There are both game drives and walks to beautiful places where you can stop and sit for a bit and wait for things to come to you. You’ll see wildlife day and night. You can also sleep under the stars, swim in rivers and eat beneath shady acacia trees after long sessions of exploring.

The freedom of this area allows you to discover Africa in a more connected way than when limited to a moving vehicle. Explore rocky outcrops, walk along waterways with an experienced guide. Venture through valleys, and clamber to the top of escarpments for endless wilderness views. In short: stop, listen and watch for a while.

  • Laikipia is home to Africa’s highest diversity of mammals. It’s wild, and so are they. Rather than a national park, this is a series of private conservancies and ranches which are largely unfenced. Spanning nearly a million acres in total, the area is beautiful and unique
  • It’s also home to threatened species of mammals, plus mammals endemic to northern Kenya. Collectively those include Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, striped polecat, striped hyena, aardwolf, and even a melanistic black leopard
  • This area also enjoys some of Africa’s best wild-dog sightings
