Campi ya Kanzi is an award-winning boutique eco-lodge in the Chyulu Hills of southern Kenya, in Ernest Hemingway’s “Green Hills of Africa”. For more than 20 years, the camp was the only Kenya luxury safari lodge on a Maasai-owned reserve spanning 283,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The Hills volcanic summits are covered in a rich green cloud forest,  home to a completely different array of trees, flowers, insects, birds, and mammals. This special Maasai land supports amazing wildlife, with immense biodiversity, including zebra, giraffe, antelopes, and apex predators like lions and leopards for game viewing.

  • The land leased for the lodge, directly benefits the “Land Owners” and their families as well as bed-night fee revenue. The local community are employed and receive valuable training and skills. Tawi Lodge pays for a full sponsorship for 4 students to attend secondary school, and also assists with projects at the local community school. The lodge purchases most of its supplies where possible from the local neighbours in the nearby townships.
  • Founded The Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust  (MWCT) which works to protect the legendary ecosystems and astounding biodiversity of East Africa through conservation that directly benefits local Maasai communities.
